Kasina 10th Anniversary

Kasina is a name of the company and the shop which has been in the street wear industry for 10 years. They started out from the rusty corner in the university area in Pusan (2nd largest city in Korea). Since then, they have expanded their business and became the one who has the most influence and the shops in street market in Korea. Last Saturday was their 10th anniversary and the party was held at the place called Daily Project. This party was "DOPE" I should say, all the people in this industry came out and shared a lot of fun all night long as I did. On my perspective in that night, I felt Korea is building up the gold mountain for Street scene and this will shine in the world soon. People from Stussy, Creative Recreation, and Hundred witnessed this in the same night.

Osiris DVD Premiere

Last month, Tony from Osiris LA called me up asking for doing a DVD premiere in Korea. So our crew (IKONZ) worked on this for 1 month, and finally did it at the club, Unit @ blue spirit on Saturday. Big up for the people who participated in making this premiere into successive one!!

Megazines

When I was in Toronto, I always had tried fighting for getting the meagazines which deals with the sub cultures, like street life style megazines and better life. I'm talking about the serious ones like Sneaker megazines, arts, and so on...
Last week, I was so happy that I could get the Supreme lookbook volume 3. They made it as a megazine which People should pay for getting it. Also picked up the Complex, too.

Pop store

Last Sunday, Went out to congrat ma man, "Hawk", for his band's first release at the SSamzie space in Hong Dae. His band, Pop store is a rock band based in Seoul for 9 years. Even though they have been rocking the major cities in Korea, they never had a plastic case. This time, they finally made it into very qualified piece.

Nam Jun Paik

There is an exhibition going on in the KBS building for remembering the greatest TV artist, Nam Jun Paik. He was born in Korea but grew up in Germany and did a lot of visual art work around the world back in 70s. His work is reknowned for TV art and the founder of it. But He died couple of years ago. Mad Respect from my heart.. Last week, there was an fashion show which was for the rememberance of him. Honestly, I didn't see the rational way of connecting these two, but loved the art work of Nam Jun Paik. Went there to check out with Da Hae from Men's Health Megazine. Thanks for allowing me to share your VIP seat, DA HAE!!

Rock Band

Sometimes, I need a freshness from the music, arts, or people that motivates my soul. Last week, my good friend, Bong Guk, who is a front man of Rock Band (Half Brothers), had a concert at the club called Free Bird in Hong Dae. It was good to refresh my mind which I normally get from my normal daily routine. This guy has a real soul of the real punk rock. If you are in my town and need some freshness, look for his band's name, Half Brothers.
